A new USA Today/Gallup poll shows Barack Obama clinging to a 47%-45% lead over Mitt Romney in the swing states of Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
That's a 7% improvement for Romney from March, when Obama led 51%-42%.
There's more good news, and more bad news for Romney.
Good News for Romney: In 2008, Barack Obama won all the swing states polled. Theoretically, that means Obama should probably be doing better than +2%, and so, Romney seems to have a chance at turning some of those blue states.
Bad News for Romney: Obama's supporters are slightly more enthusiastic. 55% call themselves "extremely" or "very enthusiastic", while 46% say the same about Romney.
