Ayotte: Romney hasn't contacted me about Veep

VP prospect, Kelly Ayotte, tells the Daily Caller that Mitt Romney's team hasn't contacted her with anything Veep-related.

If you're into reading into things, this would put her a notch below Veep prospects who seem to have been contacted.

Rob Portman, John Thune, Marco Rubio, and Paul Ryan (here, here, here, and here) have all refused to comment, at various points, when asked if they'd been contacted.

Meanwhile, Bob McDonnell and now Ayotte have said they haven't been contacted (that makes sense -- they're considered lower-tier prospects than the list above).

Of course, this isn't anything like a science; it's just interesting.
