FLASHBACK: Pawlenty mocked Santorum for being "Mr. Down-and-Out"

With the Tim Pawlenty for Veep boomlet upon us, I went back to the archive and found this particularly sassy moment in surrogacy from Pawlenty in March.

T-Paw, while Romney vs. Santorum was at its hottest:

"Rick, I know, is trying to appeal to his connection to people in terms of his background, but let's look at his background more fully.

He's been in Washington D.C. his entire adult life, he's become a very affluent or successful person through lobbying or in relationship with Washington D.C. interests, and the notion that somehow he's barely getting by -- when you look at his financial disclosures, I don't think that's accurate, either.

He's making a lot of money, had made a lot of money, I think nearly a $1 million, and lives in a very nice place, so he's not exactly "Mr. Down-and-Out", at the moment, in terms of his personal finances himself."
