On Fox News last night, Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels continued to dismiss chatter that Mitt Romney might be considering him as his running mate.
BAIER: How do you know that you're not on the shortlist for Governor Romney?
DANIELS: Let's just say that I have strong confidence that the nation will not face that problem.
BAIER: So you're not being vetted?
DANIELS: Well, you wouldn't know if you were, but I'm pretty sure 'no'.
Regardless of whether he's being vetted, Daniels probably hurt himself badly by reaffirming his support for a truce on social issues a bit earlier in the interview.
