Frank Luntz, seigneur of focus group dials, tells Fox News that this attack ad from Barack Obama works big-time.
"Let me tell you -- that is one of the most effective Obama campaign ads, so far, because it goes step-by-step with what Mitt Romney did, rather than the typical accusations.... it tries to focus on the record, and that's one of the reasons why our voters in Wisconsin said that's a legitimate attack.
It's persuasive, it's impactful."
Indeed, watch it and check out those GOP dials. Very high, especially considering it's an attack ad against the party's nominee.
Luntz then contrasts it with this Romney ad, which is a hybrid positive/negative spot. It scores off the charts with Republicans, but -- according to viewers -- doesn't hold the bipartisan effectiveness of the Obama spot.
Why?
Luntz says it's not specific enough.
