Mitt Romney has his first wave of TV ads that are specifically designed for swing states, and all focus on his first 100 days as president.
There are cosmetic differences among them (Iowa cornfields for Iowa; Charlotte skyline for North Carolina) and substantive differences within the short, 30 second spots.
IOWA:
--Repeal ObamaCare
--Deficit message
--Balanced Budget (only ad to talk about "balanced budget").
OHIO (only ad that doesn't include talk of repealing ObamaCare).
--China policy (only ad touching on China).
--Repeal regulations on energy industry (Virginia also deals with energy).
--"More factories, more jobs." (only ad that uses word "factory").
NORTH CAROLINA:
--Repeal ObamaCare.
--Cut taxes (only ad that talks about taxes).
--"Banking and hi-tech" jobs (only ad that includes white collar jobs).
VIRGINIA:
--Repeal ObamaCare.
--Deficit (Iowa also deals with deficit).
--Off-shore drilling (only ad that --understandably -- deals with offshore drilling, which isn't a big issue in Iowa, because the only shore there is the tile outside a bathtub).
