Thune goes silent on VP process

South Dakota Sen. John Thune goes mum when USA Today asks if he's being vetted for VP.

"There's a process. We don't talk about the process," he said, sinking into his winged-back chair and waving the question away with his hands.

Here's what's fascinating -- last month, Thune told The Hill, openly, that he hadn't been contacted by the Romney campaign.

Put that together with his sudden silence, and it sounds like the Romney team might have contacted him since then.
