U.S. business owners' approval of President Barack Obama fell in the second quarter of 2012 to 35%, essentially tying farmers and fishers for the lowest approval among major occupational groups.
Here's the interesting thing about the poll -- it was taken from April 1-June 30, which was before Obama's "you didn't build that" comments.
So resist interpreting this as a reaction to the remarks, even though that would be a convenient link.
In a way, that makes the numbers even more problematic for Obama -- this doesn't appear to be a short-term, immediate, and emotional response.
That being said, how many business owners are there compared to, let's say, "professional workers", who give Obama a 52% approval rating?
