Palin: Romney won't pick someone like me for Veep

Sarah Palin, with a frank assessment of the Veepstakes and her own role as an unknown commodity in the 2008 presidential election.

"I think that Governor Romney will probably play it safe, relatively-speaking, in terms of finding someone who is a known commodity, so the media doesn't do what the media did to me and making things up and kind of thrashing somebody's reputation and record in order to distract."

That's an interesting concession to the prevailing narrative that Romney wants to avoid a replay of '08 when John McCain picked the relatively inexperienced and untested Palin.
