Emily Friedman reports that Bobby Jindal will raise money with Mitt Romney today in Baton Rogue -- their first pairing since ever.
If you remember, Jindal endorsed Romney in the primary, although he always seemed reluctant to prosecute the case against Mitt.
As far as the Veepstakes go, Bobby's name now routinely appears on the speculated shortlist of Rob Portman, Tim Pawlenty, Paul Ryan, and Jindal himself.
I'm not totally sure why.
The two haven't campaigned together, Jindal doesn't bring blue-collar credibility, he doesn't bring a battleground state, and most of all, he busted big-time in his national debut and hasn't shown any of the telegenic tweaks that would suggest he'd do much better.
Furthermore, he's got the same thing that dogs Marco Rubio -- the Young Protege Factor, which is hereby defined as looking like a freshman while the guy at the top of the ticket looks like a senior.
