Axelrod: Romney's video biography was "very nice"

It was understandably difficult to get a favorable word about the GOP convention from David Axelrod, but Mark Halperin pried it out this morning on MSNBC.

Axelrod:

"I thought that film they did was very nice, I'm sure they regret that more people didn't see it."

Axelrod isn't alone -- a lot of people thought the Romney campaign missed big-time by not showing Romney's 10 minute bio video during the 10 PM hour.

Axe then made a very good point.

"A lot of it [the convention] had nothing to do with Mitt Romney. It felt like open mic night for 2016 candidates and not a convention aimed at promoting Mitt Romney in 2012."

That was actually one of Michael Steele's complaints this morning, as well.

Chris Christie's speech was usually considered the most egocentric, but Marco Rubio wasn't terribly zeroed in on Romney, either.
