On MSNBC this morning, Bobby Jindal learned from Tim Pawlenty's mistake and dodged a question about what he submitted during the whilom Veep vetting process.
"I've not commented on the VP vetting process, I'm not going to start now. I didn't do it in 2008."
He then pivoted to Paul Ryan and noted that he also endorsed him for Veep during the Veepstakes, and then started riffing about this being a choice election.
If you remember, Tim Pawlenty got some heat for acknowledging that he submitted "a bunch of tax returns", which led to the natural follow-up: How many? Pawlenty, of course, realized that he couldn't very well say anything beyond two years and answered "I don't remember the exact number of years."
Here's Jindal on MSNBC today.
Btw, Jindal kicked off the interview by suggesting a raise for Chuck Todd after the Daily Rundown anchor broke the Veep news over the weekend.
