Sarah Palin on Fox News last night, claiming that the media hasn't been aggressive enough in pointing out that Joe Soptic -- star of the new Obama Super PAC cancer ad -- is also the Joe Soptic of an Obama conference call.
Super PAC coordination with a campaign is illegal.
Palin:
"What I think should happen is some of these reporters who know the truth about this situation, because they were in the room.... they know what happened, and I don't know how they can sleep at night.
They're basically prostituting themselves for a job, for interviews, for access to the Obama Administration and the campaign, though this is illegal."
Actually, numerous reporters have pointed out the incredulous incongruity between the Obama campaign's claim that it knew nothing about the details behind Soptic's story and, well, the details.
But it's true that the story hasn't graduated to front-page status or the kind of widespread outrage that would actually reach most voters who will see the ad.
