Portman in Colorado; Pawlenty in Michigan

The two front-runners for the GOP vice-presidential nomination are busy today.

Rob Portman is in Colorado for a number of events (incidentally, as is Barack Obama).

Portman is set to address a crowd at a Romney rally around 3 p.m. near Sports Authority Field at Mile High, shortly after President Barack Obama speaks to supporters at the Auraria Campus in downtown Denver. It will be Obama’s first stop on his two-day tour around the state as he visits Grand Junction, Pueblo and Colorado Springs.

Wednesday morning Portman will hold meet-and-greets in Greeley, Lakewood and Thornton, then after the rally at Sports Authority, he’ll travel south along Interstate 25 to Pueblo for an evening event at a Romney campaign office.

Meanwhile, Tim Pawlenty will be in Michigan where he'll be joined by Rep. Fred Upton, also known as Kate Upton's uncle.
