Romney ad hammers Obama on religious liberty

Mitt Romney's newest ad accuses Barack Obama of a war on religious liberty via his contraception mandate.

"When religious freedom is threatened, who do you want to stand with?"

Mitt also invokes Pope John Paul II and his exhortation to "Be not afraid", as well as a clip from his recent international trip.

At first glance, this seems a clear appeal to the Catholic vote, and indeed it is one, but the spot will also resonate with evangelicals who find the law distasteful and worry about a threat religious freedom.
