Romney avoids talking about wind tax credit in Iowa

The Hill's Justin Sink reports:

Mitt Romney was campaigning in Iowa on Wednesday, but the presumptive Republican presidential nominee steered clear of his campaign's controversial announcement that he would end a tax credit for wind energy that remains extremely popular in the pivotal swing state.

Romney has held strong on his opposition to the tax credit, prompting various, incredulous responses from the state's Republican Governor and Senator Chuck Grassley, who support the credit.

Obama currently holds a slim 1.3% lead over Romney in Iowa, although that includes a survey from the left-leaning Public Policy Polling, which has produced some dramatic outliers favoring Obama this cycle.
