Karl Rove today, after being asked whether Todd Akin's rape comments will hurt him in his matchup against Claire McCaskill:
"Let's see how it plays out here. He's got some real explaining to do."
He then immediately brought up national fundraising figures, and didn't return to the Akin issue.
Watch -- Akin is clearly a story Rove doesn't want to talk much about.
