Sarah Palin, when asked to comment last night on Dick Cheney's claim that she didn't have the experience necessary to be vice-president in 2008.
The first sentence tells you all you need to know.
"Seeing as how Dick -- excuse me, Vice-President Cheney -- never misfires, then evidently he's quite convinced that he had evidently read about me by the mainstream media having been written what I believe is a fast narrative over the last four years, evidently Dick Cheney believed that stuff, and that's a shame."
She then went on to give a passionate defense of her decision to accept the vice-presidential nomination, arguing that it was a a big political risk for her but, nevertheless, the honorable thing to do.
