Via TPM, Jon Stewart batted Harry Reid around last night for speculating that Mitt Romney might not have paid taxes for ten years.
"Here's a rule of thumb -- if you have to follow your claim with the words 'I don't know if that's true', then shut up."
If you remember, this week, Reid recounted a story about a Bain investor speculating that Mitt might not have paid taxes for ten years.
Reid concluded:
"Now, do I know that that's true? Well, I'm not certain," said Reid.
Watch it -- a classic moment when Stewart pulls out an Ouija board to smack around Reid's other tasteless comment, in which the Senate Majority Leader claimed that Mitt's late father "must be so embarrassed about his son."
