Ed Rollins tells Fox News that the ceaseless stream of negative ads doesn't work amidst the ceaseless stream of water.
"I'd make them very positive, I'd make them about volunteerism, I'd be about contributing to the Red Cross, I'd be about anything. It's a good way to, kind of, have a different kind of message that makes people pay attention to the message.
The problem is when you're wall-to-wall and there's 22 states that have some kind of a disaster here, you're not going to pay a whole lot of attention to a political ad that's too crude, too harsh."
Over the past 24 hours, people have been sending out non-stop tweets about the non-stop negative ads that have run in affected areas.
But Rollins' advice is good. The dry ground during this hurricane might be the high ground.
