Will Castro run in 2016?

Liberal syndicated columnist, DeWayne Wickham, thinks the DNC convention's keynote speaker, San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, is positioning himself for a 2016 presidential run.

His post-election evidence?

a. Castro recently signed a deal to write an autobiography that will be published by Little, Brown & Co in 2014.

b. He recently took a group of Texas corporate executives to Britain on a trade mission -- another common step for those trying to boost their international resume (It's minor, but just about the only thing a mayor can do on that score).

So... enough to add him to the 2016 list?

c. His demographic profile is perfect for today's and especially tomorrow's demographic.

Here's Castro, again, in September, delivering the keynote address. He's a likable speaker, if not as poetic and urgent as Marco Rubio with whom comparisons are inevitable.
