The Times-Picayune reports that nearly every possible, domain permutation of "Bobby Jindal for President" has already been reserved by internet squatters who demand big bucks.
Jindal domain name owner, Michael Paparella, is asking for $50,000 as his starting price for bobby2016.com on GoDaddy auctions.
.... But the domain name that could garner the most attention from a possible 2016 Jindal campaign team would be those currently owned by Paul Lemaire of Lafayette. He is asking a starting price of $10,000 for jindalforpresident.com and bobbyjindalforpresident.com.
Btw, if you're in the market for stories on political domain names, Steve Friess wrote a good one this week and noted that Rick Santorum has already been gobbling up 2016 domains.
But let me just end on this anecdote from the 2012 primary season -- according to The Washington Post, just two days after Rick Perry announced his presidential campaign, over 70 "Perry" domains were bought. As it turned out, Obama's campaign spent almost $4K on GoDaddy that day.
