Steve I don't know either of the candidates well enough to have a dog in this hunt.

The polls show Brandstad outperforming VDP in the primary and general.

So i'm just commenting from a who's up who's down perspective and I can tell you that in terms of winning the GOP '12 nomination that Huckabee made the wrong choice.

Voter i'm very much aware of the situation in Iowa. In fact a key evangelical group with ties to Huck just denounced Branstad. Talk about making enemies!

But the guy is 64, young-ish looking, and still has the energy and popularity to win over a constant loser and poor fundraiser like Plaats (lost two primaries and lost as LG).
